Fees, refunds and cancellation

Every family receives the complete fee sheet and this policy in writing before paying anything. The figures for your programme are in the fee sheet.

What the fee covers

One annual fee covers tuition, the hostel, all meals, yoga and sport, every test and its analysis, study material and routine medical care in the sick-bay. The fee sheet lists anything charged separately, such as a refundable caution deposit, a uniform, or treatment at our partner hospital. GST is shown separately on every receipt.

How fees are paid

Annually, or in interest-free instalments on the dates in the fee sheet. Every payment is made to the Academy’s bank account, never to an individual, and every payment receives a receipt. If a payment will be late, tell us before the date. A student is never sent home or singled out over a late payment.

Withdrawal before the year begins

Tell us in writing. We refund everything paid except the registration fee, which holds the seat, less bank charges. If we cannot offer your child the seat named in the offer, we refund everything, including the registration fee.

Leaving during the year

The unused part of the tuition, hostel and mess fee for the period after the student leaves is refunded on a proportional basis, counted from the date we receive the written request. Material issued, tests taken and the period already spent on campus are not refunded. The caution deposit is returned in full, less any damage recorded and shown to you.

Special circumstances

If a student leaves because of a serious illness, or because they have secured a medical seat, the unused fee for the period after they leave is refunded in full. If a student is asked to leave for a serious breach of the campus rules, the same proportional refund applies.

How refunds are paid

Requests are made in writing by a parent, in person, by post or by email. Refunds are approved by the Director and paid by bank transfer to the account from which the fee was received, within ten working days of approval, with a statement showing how the refund was calculated.

Fee concessions

A fee concession is stated in the offer letter and stays for the year as long as the student remains on the campus. Concessions are never conditional on a rank or a score.
