Sundays
Parents are welcome on campus every Sunday from ten in the morning to four in the afternoon. Bring the family; the mess serves lunch. Visitors sign in at the gate and wear a visitor’s badge. Visits on other days are arranged in advance with the warden’s desk.
The home holiday
Deepavali is the year’s home holiday. The dates are in the academic calendar you receive before the year begins. The calendar keeps students on campus for the rest of the year.
Other leave
Leave for a family wedding, a bereavement or a religious occasion is granted by the Campus Director on a written request from a parent, normally a week ahead. Leave for illness follows our health policy. All leave is recorded in the gate register with the time out and the time back.
Who may collect your child
At joining you name up to three adults who may collect your child. A student leaves the campus only with one of them, who shows photo identification and signs the gate register. If someone else must come, a parent tells the warden’s desk by phone and in writing beforehand, and we call the parent back to confirm before the student leaves. There are no exceptions.
Emergencies
If something happens at home, call the warden’s desk at any hour; we will have your child ready and, if needed, bring them to you. If something happens on campus, we call you first.
Travel
Students travel only in campus transport or with a named adult. Campus vehicles carry an adult escort as well as the driver, and drop a student only at the address a parent has given.
